Yiheng Wang王乙衡 was born in 2006 in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. Passionate about chemistry since high school, he won a Gold Medal at the 37th Chinese Chemistry Olympiad in 2023 — a recognition that strengthened his commitment to the field. In 2024, he entered the College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering at Peking University.
Driven by curiosity about how molecules interact and transform, he is now conducting research under the supervision of Prof. Sihai Yang and Prof. Jiangnan Li. His project focuses on amino acid condensation catalysis using metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), aiming to understand how such catalytic systems might relate to the chemistry of early Earth and the emergence of biological molecules. Ultimately, he hopes to gain a deeper understanding of how MOF-catalyzed condensation reactions work at the molecular level.
